On both men and women. Would be an interesting time when "less conspicuous" becomes an argument against cages.
Personally, I am not a fan of low-sitting pants at all though, but at least flashing a belt's waist band would be an upside.
Chastity belt law
gwen The belt might make it a little more difficult to "do it".
youdontknowme They mean click the lock. Just do it. Do it.
Jonas Now you are reminding me of an Epica song:
Go for it
Just do it
Walk my way just to serve meGo for it
Just do it
Kneel for me and obey me
Jonas I would definitely classify masturbation as a potentially addictive behaviour, but I've not been convinced by arguments that such addictions always require therapy. People may smoke and over-eat because they are fruitlessly trying to fill gaps in their lives, but many also do these things simply because they feel nice.
I agree.
youdontknowme it is hard to classify it as addiction unless you spend so much time on it that it prevents you from doing other things.
Right.
youdontknowme Generally, I would say an addiction is an unnecessary something you compulsively do without really enjoying it.
Good definition,I think.
youdontknowme electronic tagging perhaps? Little RFID tags in the chastity belts (and authorized keys, and unlock licenses) so anyone passing within close proximity of a checkpoint can be scanned to ensure they are wearing the belt and leaving their key behind if they do not have a license with them.
Not a bad idea.
But it should include something to be sure it is the right person wearing it,that it is locked, and with the right lock
youdontknowme maybe some people are into the more hands-on option.
At least,it can be sure it is rightly locked.
youdontknowme a significant amount of the population deciding it was not as bad as they feared?
No chance if not mandatory and not without an incentive to wear it.
Ines the girl lose opportunities of achieving universitary studies, jobs with good societal consideration...
Very strict for a single mistake!
youdontknowme I would hope there are ways a young woman could restore her honor, such as finding a husband who will accept her despite her "troubled" past, or going through a state-sanctioned penance like what Vanessa talked about in another topic.
It would be better,yes.
Avery But he had found a way to make the behavior inconvenient and he did eventually quit.
Interesting to know it worked.
It's like professional athletes who should not have sex the day before a game(not sure it is true, however).
Ines but it should not be a well societal accepted marriage. I mean, as you say, she is a lower cast.
Like a misalliance?
Ines only thing I support will be a mandatory wearing of chastity belt in University
Even if not willingly(which would probably be the case for some women if mandatory)?
I agree,it is pretty different.
youdontknowme But limiting intercourse itself - only realistic after all those avenues have already been explored.
It's not about population decrease, but motivate people for marriage, more responsibility, etc.
Jonas Eeek! Do you think over-population or farming insufficiency could ever lead to a literal governmental clamp down on sexual activity?
if the government can justify it well, then yes
Avery Hmm. Not wearing a mask is perfectly obvious and makes enforcement easy.
yes, but if the police were empowered by the government to control chastity belts, it would be the same system, it just needs social acceptance.
the point is very simple. it is also not a question of whether we should equate masks with chastity belts. it is about the fact that the government could decide something that we have to obey and because the majority perceive that as the right thing to do. if the same would be the case with chastity belts, it can also work. Let me explain it like this: how many people do you know who wore masks before corona? I almost nobody. how many do you know who wear a belt? almost nobody. if the state makes it compulsory, that would be different
Angelina yes, but if the police were empowered by the government to control chastity belts, it would be the same system, it just needs social acceptance.
Methinks social acceptance will never happen. Most men will never accept any law which interferes with their ability to have sex with women . Any not many women will either. And the justice system isn't big enough to accommodate all the new criminals.

State laws could become less important than company policy.
If a company decides that fitness is A GOOD THING it can attempt to mandate the wearing of activity trackers. If a company decides that over-population is A BAD THING it could, conceivably (lol) adjust these to also track sexual activity. Then it becomes a matter of: If you can measure it, you can manage it.
Social acceptance could become a straight choice between having a job, car, house and entertainment or trying to exist on welfare... which (run by private companies) could also require applicants to wear activity monitors.
Dystopia is always just around the corner I'm afraid. It's up to every generation to maintain its hard won rights and freedoms.
Jonas That is why there are laws on what companies can ask of their employees. And sometimes laws on what companies can allow their employees to make sure that it is not done on a "voluntary" basis with very prominent scare quotes around the voluntary.

There are some widely accepted restrictions already. Airline pilots and police (who carry guns in my country) must meet standards others don't have to. A Massachusetts state policeman recently lost a court case in which he insisted he should be allowed to grow a beard. That stuff is hardly dystopian. I'm not worried. Right now employers can't find enough workers. They are offering free lunches and stuff to draw people in, not forbidding people from doing things.
The real point I think is that people will accept some things, like drug tests, to get a job, and they do. But they won't accept others, like not being able to get themselves laid. In order for the situation you describe to come to fruition enough people will have to be desperate enough to get a job so companies will be able to find enough willing workers and I don't think that will ever happen if sex is involved.
Avery Methinks social acceptance will never happen.
never say never. people can be manipulated. the best example is donald trump, if he had been in favour of compulsory chastity belts, he probably would have pushed it through.
in the private sector it is a little different, but even there the employer cannot dictate everything and, unlike the state, he may be able to dismiss you but he is not allowed to check you so easily after you have worn the CB.
Angelina donald trump, if he had been in favour of compulsory chastity belts, he probably would have pushed it through.
I don't know, he had a pretty conservative base. Bet he had Melania try a few out. I bet Biden and Pelosi wouldn't mind a little of that stuff to brighten up their lives. Pelosi especially.
Avery I don't know, he had a pretty conservative base.
Those are the same people who think not explaining contraception could help against teen pregnancy. I am sure they could be made to believe that chastity belts reduce impure urges.

Nah. Just listen to country and western music, every song is about guys chasing girls.
Avery Yeah, but that only applies to other girls. Their own daughters must be kept pure until they're married to daddy's approved boy. I think Angelina is right about Trump. He can persuade his idiots to drink bleach, so he could certainly persuade them to belt their daughters.

If companies can get people to tattoo their logo onto themselves (google it!!) then I think they can convince people to wear trackers, weakening local law where required (eg: "We'll create 10,000 jobs in your state, if you adjust personal tracker law").
Trackers could realistically include tracking of sexual behaviour. If a company buys into the idea that performance is increased by abstinence so a selection pressure develops for people who are prepared to redirect their sex drive into productivity. (This is basically what's happening to me at home right now - lol).
As to acceptance of sexual restrictions - sex generally comes below food on people's priorities - they could possibly choose chastity if that was the route to secure a job/food/shelter.
