And of course, withdrawal can be a good treatment for addiction, but it depends on the person. If someone responds badly to withdrawal, professional help may be advisable.

                                                        I feel that applies to most stories about legally mandated chastity - sooner or later you run into issues that would be really awkward in reality. Bringing some form of RFID tags into it to avoid regular random strip searches everywhere was an attempt to make it somewhat more palatable at least. But who knows, maybe some people are into the more hands-on option.

                                                        And I mean, it would not necessarily happen all the time. In all the time I have been driving, I have only ever been asked for my license at car rental shops, and at my job so they know if I can borrow a company car should I need it.                                                                       Same here, but I cannot imagine living a world where everyone (or worse, everyone of a particular sex) were forced into chastity devices either (and the implications that would come with it). Now, a world where everyone was expected to at least give it a try and a significant amount of the population deciding it was not as bad as they feared? Would love to see that, but while society-wide chastity is an interesting subject to fantasize over, all the little stumbling blocks that come with the reality of chastity enforcement just make it feel like somehow not making that scenario a hell on earth would be impractically difficult.

How to deal with the health and safety concerns of leaving home potentially for an extended period of time whithout access to the key is an exercise left for the reader, and a practical concern which makes this a lot better as a fantasy than as a realistic scenario.

                                                                                  I guess it's a bit of both. A secure belt with a key out of reach prevents masturbation, but over time the habit itself is weakened by virtue of being blocked. So for example, if something triggers my urge to masturbate and I act out, that re-enforces the trigger, but where I am triggered but then prevented from masturbating, the trigger loses some of its power.

                                                                                  Also I purposefully avoid triggers when I know that they'll lead to frustration.

                                                                                  In terms of who keeps the key... well, I think a chastity belt has to prevent sex, masturbation and removal. Where I have access to the key, I don't think the belt actually counts as a chastity belt and I'll just take it off to masturbate, or even just to avoid the discomfort of wearing it.
