so you don't really wear the belt involuntarily but because it gives you advantages in other areas of your life ?

Nate I don't think I really need to have an emergency key, as I never needed it and I could be tempted to unlock.

Well, mostly convinced in my case and reluctant in Jake's. He would never agree if he didn't need to move out to study.

I don't know your parents, but I wouldn't ask mine to lock me. It still feels quite weird to me starting a discussion about that and then giving your parents the key. What about your friend as a keyholder?

On the other hand, you said that they're open minded and would support you. Why don't you tell them what the situation is and how you see it?
