that's true, but i have used a different tactic so far. if i thought someone was a troll, i ignore him/her, which saves a lot of time and nerves.

I was a teen in the 1960s, girdle wearing was the norm. and yes moms insisted on daughters dating wearing substantial panty girdles when going on a date. They certainly slowed things down.
