Anyway, I think you see yourself as an external party applying your mother's own beliefs to her. But you also seem increasingly to share and agree with these beliefs! If you do end up thinking chastity is important, then the rules should apply to you too.

She's told her that the only way she returns the belt to Christine's possession is around her waist and firmly locked. If she had time with the belt on her own, she might be able to alter it to escape. Her mother is wise not to allow her access to it. Even if she's not wearing it now, the day may come for it again.

                        I don't think that's gonna happen. Her mother seemed very firm about not permitting any orgasms, not just as a side effect of the belt but as one of the main purposes. So once @Christine is belted again, it probably means complete chastity.

The belt is not Christine’s property. It belongs to the keyholder, her mother, and if Christine wants it, it should be properly locked on.

                                probably the mother would have refused otherwise and i think if @Christine had the same rules for herself then maybe she would be willing to accept a belt herself. i think no matter what, the rules should be the same for both of them

                                                                            And don’t kill me now, but I think it would only be fair if you also wore a belt. After all, one main argument from you (and the crowd in this forum!) was that she should adhere to the same rules as you. Now she is denied pleasure by the belt but you are not, and you don’t follow the same rules as your mother.
                                                                            Maybe you need to find a trustworthy keyholder for both your keys? Maybe the Saintprudence-Goody-way?
